            "a world of silence"

Upon waking the first thing I see,
      Will be a face
And the words coming out of my mouth will be
      “Where am I?”.
No one will know how to answer,
      Because I am not anywhere,
      I have stopped existing.

“And who the fuck is she?”
Pointing at the mirror I recognise my own face.
But I will not know who I am,
      I have forgotten the words.

      No one answers,
      Because they have forgotten.
The things we use to describe anything
      Have become obsolete.
I have entered a world of silence,
Where no words can be spoken, written or read.

      We will be mute,
      Except for me.
      But I am not there.
How do these words form in my head,
Yet fail to leave my mouth?
      Even when they do,
They seem wrong and not the ones I intended to use.
      I have lost choice
      And freedom of speech.

these (s)words have become obsolete

these pieces of metal that were once
piercing, crushing and deadly,
now have become rusted and blunt.
they lost their shine,
they lost their aim.

however,
we can bend the ruless,
melt them down
and create new ones.

while they never truly vanish from existence,
they are replaced
and develop into newer,
more precise weapons.
